For over 34 years I have been dealing in Americana. I search auctions, shows and private collections in order to acquire quality items using my own capital. Using my own money along with standing by the authenticity of my offerings established my integrity in the world of antiques. That in turn gave me a long list of repeat customers. I have owned many top tier items across a wide spectrum of specialties in the industry. Many of these items have ended up in important collections and museums across the United States. I began my career in antiques In Fulton, NY in 1986. I attended many estate and farm auctions and opened my first shop called Summer Antiques.

In 1992 I moved to Boston and attended every auction and sale available. Then in 1998 I moved to New York City for three years in order to learn from the most vibrant antique city in the world. Living in Manhattan I was able to buy and sell art and antiques by attending world class shows, small sales and famous New York City auction houses. In 2001 , I opened my shop Summer Antiques on Main Street in Lake Placid NY. For 18 years I visited with passionate collectors and high end dealers who were looking to add special pieces to their collections or inventory.

Upon reflection I have traveled thousands of miles, visited 1000’s of shops, auctions and estate sales always searching for the ultimate find. I once calculated that I have spent over 300 nights sleeping in my vehicle at the famous fields of Brimfield MA antique markets in the past 34 years buying and selling.

In 2009 my deep interest in Americana led to an equally passionate interest in the Historic Preservation of country farm houses. I have since restored two early Federal Period Farmsteads to their original and authentic splendor.
